Handpicked and personally inspected villas in Italy
December 2010Dear James, Just to let you know...we had a wonderful time at the villa. It was magical and very, very special. We loved Positano and will definitely go back. The staff was amazing and practically became a part of our family. Best Christmas that I have ever experienced. Thanks for helping us get hooked up with such a great place. We loved the property and we thought the staff was amazing. We all plan to go back to Positano in the near future and plan to stay at a lovely hotel in town. If we need a large accomodation, we would not hesitate to rent the villa. You both made everything easy and I think your website is great. I especially appreciated the quick feedback whenever I had a question or concern. Keep up the good work. Happy New Year to you and Lori. Best Regards,
Cindy S. Falmouth, MA
August 2009Palazzo Vescovi was exactly as I had imagined. Diana is a very competent manager and she solved all our travel requirements. Enza and the cleaning assistant were the best, always happy to tend to all our needs. The boat trip was perfect and Ricardo took us to very special places in the Amalfi coast. We really had a perfect vacation. I would rent it again and recommend it to my friends. We had a dream vacation at Positano.

June 2009Palazzo Vescovi had to be the MOST beautiful place on earth I have seen so far! I am in love with Positano and a part of my soul is left there at the palazzo. Our chef, Enza, was fabulous and I never left home at night because our days were so full, the dinner so satisfying, that I had no need to leave our palace! Diana was wonderful and helpful every time we had questions or needed advice. The only thing that I would add is the issue of the amount of stairs you have to climb to reach the property.
If a person was not in good physical condition, there would be no way for them to deal with those stairs! Towards the end, my legs were finally used to it, but the first few days were physically draining. It was truly worth it once we arrived, but anyone who cannot climb lots of stairs should not stay here. Otherwise, it was heaven on earth. The location certainly made the villa more appealing since it was a palace in a place all its own. I am a changed person after being there and the people I met are in my heart and soul for my lifetime!
I wish I could have stayed for way longer! That was the only negative for me....two or three weeks next time for sure! I am now going to learn Italian as well. The Rosetta Stone was good for a few phrases, but I am determined to become fluent in the language before I go again! We even experienced the remarkable firework display to honor St. Vito, the patron saint of Positano that rivaled those I saw in Boston in 1976!!!! Remarkable is not a strong enough word though! Thanks for your assistance and advise! We have certainly passed your name along to everyone we know!

August 2008Dear James: Our stay at the Palazzo Vescovi was outstanding. The staff was very accommodating and the palazzo exceeded our expectations.

Palazzo Vescovi is unquestionably the most luxurious vacation villa in Positano.
Perched high above the spectacular Amalfitana coastline Palazzo Vescovi has a birds-eye view of the Li Galli Islands, Positano and the emerald sea. The palazzo has undergone a complete restoration creating the premier vacation property in this area. It has been carefully decorated with exceptional Italian antiques and objects sourced from the owners private collection and prosperous antique business. 21st-century amenities include WiFi and digital sound system throughout the palazzo. Please be advised that due to the spectacular position of the Palazzo, there are 180 gradual steps from the street to the property.
The extraordinary vistas from the palazzo are unparalleled, encompassing a sweeping view of Positano, the vast Tyrrhenian sea and Lattori mountains, the backbone of the Sorrentine-Amalfi peninsula.
The Palazzo is organized on four spacious levels. Due to its position on the mountainside, initial access is from the garden level. Guests enter the grounds through a private gate. Lush gardens and ancient terra cotta pots lead to a area for shaded relaxation or dining. Here you will find an entrance to the fourth floor of the Palazzo.
Please note that the timeless allure of Positano, some say, is due to its striking position on the ragged cliffs overlooking the Tyrrhenian sea. Our clients have described their visits as "magical", "spectacular" and "filled with life-long memories" but consistently tempered with comments like "it was a stair-master experience!" Palazzo Vescovi is accessed by a series of walkways and characteristic shallow stairs. The ascent is not recommended for anyone who may have difficulty walking and negotiating this type of terrain.

"Positano bites deep. It is a dream place that isn't quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone". John Steinbeck. Built around a small curving bay on a steep hill overlooking the Li Galli islands, Positano is located in the heart of the Costiera Amalfitana. Once a sleepy fishing village, Positano is one of the most picturesque towns on the Amalfi coast. The typical Moorish style houses are lined up along the slopes facing the sea. Steep steps, narrow lanes, courtyards and gardens create this magical village.
