July 2012Villa Orcia is simply spectacular! The setting is unique and gorgeous. The house absolutely beautiful, and Giovanna was a fantastic cook! Can't wait to return. A very, very special place. Thanks so much for everything. Our trip was probably the best ever.

July 2011We absolutely loved Giovanna, and the other ladies, and her cooking. We opted to book her services for all dinners which were fantastic. Please know that your assistance with this booking was great and we will definitely use Via Villas in the future. We actually have our eye on a couple of other properties already!

May 2011Dear Lori,
Thank-you so much! What a great venue! You did us a great favour in directing us to Villa Orcia. It was better than any of us expected - and so much more. The villa itself was beautiful, both in the renovation and the interior design. It was so special and it took our collective breath away. I think we've all been on vacations at some point in our lives where the hype does live up to the reality; at Villa Orcia the pictures and descriptions didn't do the place justice. It was truly magic, peaceful, stunning we all loved it. We are already talking about a return visit - and some of us haven't returned from Rome yet! (In fact if we had known it was available the following week some would have worked very hard to stay on for a few more days ay least).
We tried to persuade Giovanaa to come back to the US with us we were quite happy to kidnap her if necessary. She is a gem, the villa comes to life in her capable hands - everything seemed effortless and no request was too much trouble. Brilliant! You know it was really hard to think of anything you need to improve with a property like this, we are torn as to blow trumpets of public applause or hide this find for ourselves rather selfishly. If we can do anything for you in terms of endorsements/ recommendations/ references please don't hesitate to contact us.

June 2010Dear Lori, On behalf of the Weir family I would like to thank you and James for all the excellent arrangements and sightseeing suggestions you provided prior to our stay at Rombolino. It was very thoughtful of you to call and provide cake for our special dinner. The directions to find the place were accurate and essential and used more than once to find our way home from day trips. We made day trips to Florence, Siena, Montepulciano, Radicofani and a winery resort near Montalcino (Castiglione del Bosco). I see you have Mike's comments up on Rombolino's website. He and his wife (and the rest of us) were truly impressed by the beauty of the villa, decoration and the vistas in every direction. We called on Elisa several times for various directions and other needs and she was always very responsive. Giovanna was a major highlight of our trip since she not only a fantastic cook but a delightful and helpful person who tried to satisfy all of our diet and beverage needs. The villa owners dropped in one day and were very nice. They made suggestions for winery tours. Once again many thanks to James and yourself for all your great advice and arrangements.

June 2010After a great family holiday in Italy, I have arrived in St. Andrews for the Open Championship. My time in Italy was great! It gave me a chance to spend some time with my family and recharge my batteries. I did actually find a small course in Italy where I was able to hit a few balls. We saw a lot of the country! Fantastic views, decoration and furnishings. Elisa was very responsive to our needs. Giovanna pleasant, friendly and a great cook.

Villa Orcia is perched high on a pinnacle-like hill with spectacular views over the renown Val d'Orcia.
We are delighted to introduce this villa, the latest master restoration brought to you by the owners of La Casaccia, Colle Aperto, Palazzuolo, Via Lambertesca in Florence and Palazzo San Pietro in Venice.
This valley, where "The English Patient" and "Under the Tuscan Sun" were filmed, has been renowned since the end of the first millennium as being an important stage on the Via Francigena, the great medieval pilgrimage road from France to Rome. More than 20 castles and rest houses crowned the valley bordering the road. One of these houses, Villa Orcia, has become a villa of exceptional character.
All ensuite, equivalent accommodations.
Please note: The location of this vacation home, as others in the area, requires driving on a "strada bianca" - a typical Tuscan white dirt road. When renting a vehicle for your holiday, we strongly suggest not renting any vehicle with a low-carriage.
