Our trip to the Amalfi coast was the trip of a lifetime! The villa Vistamare was perfect for our group of 15 and an absolutely wonderful place to relax after a long day of sightseeing. The location offered us great access to see as much of the Amalfi coast as one can see in one week and we were all wishing we had a second week to just stay at the villa and enjoy the beautiful grounds and scenery. The two meals prepared and served at the villa were fabulous and better than any restaurant. It is always difficult to rent something you cannot see but our conversations and the fact that you actually visit the properties was very comforting. It was everything you said it would be and you can be sure that I will be recommending VIA Villas to family and friends who plan to travel to Italy in the future. With warm regards,

Just a quick note to say how much my family, friends and I enjoyed the villa in Praiano. Your suggestion was right on the money, both in terms of size and location (I can't believe how much Positano has developed since I was there last) and the beauty of it remains in my dreams now that I am back in dismal New York. I also have to say that the driver, Gennaro was terrific--the provided transfers for several of us and he was a joy to work with and very reasonably priced-- I would highly recommend him again. James and Lori were wonderful throughout this whole process. Short of making the property free of cost, I can't think of anything else that could be improved.

About this Villa

From its perch in Praiano the stunning, white Vistamare boasts a spectacular view overlooking the entire Amalfi coast.

The meticulously maintained villa is built along various terraces linked by a dramatic staircase along the cliff side. Vistamare sits among gardens of manicured lawns, huge specimen trees, fruit trees, flowers and other native Mediterranean plants.

The villa portico (which is also the main entrance), overlooks the sea where guests may glimpse the famous islands of Capri with its Faraglioni rocks, and Li Galli. Early breakfasts or sunset dinners are best enjoyed on the terrace while scanning this breathtaking view.

MAIN FLOOR LIVING AREA:

The portico leads to the ground floor living areas which consist of a large dining room, two elegantly furnished sitting rooms, one of which boasts a beautiful fireplace and a reading room. The dining room leads to a large fully equipped kitchen, the laundry and a service bathroom.

FIRST FLOOR:

The first floor of the villa is not available to guests as are the two storerooms on this floor.

BEDROOM FLOOR:

A staircase from one of the sitting rooms leads to the bedroom floor with six bedrooms, each with a bathroom with shower. The rooms have direct access to a large terrace with a view of the entire coast and two gardens on both sides.

MANSARD:

An external staircase from the garden on the first floor leads up to the mansard with a large double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a bathroom with shower. These bedrooms overlook the sea and Positano.

OUTDOORS:

Here guests may relax on the shaded portico with retractable awnings. A huge open terrace overlooks the infinitely pool, which is surrounded by lemon trees and flowers. The pool measures 17 meters (55 ft.) X 5.9 meters (19.5 ft.) with a depth of 2.60 meters (8.5 ft.). Children must be supervised at all times in the pool area. The pool is equipped with tables, umbrellas, deck chairs and mattresses. There is also an outdoor shower with cold and warm water, a changing room and a small bathroom.

The total capacity of the villa is 16 persons with the mansard and 12 persons without the mansard. Prices and surface area change for a reduced number of people. Excluded from the rental is the area surrounding the villa (vegetables garden and gardens below the pool) along with the first floor.
